My first cookbook is out!
A little over a year ago, my friend Alexandra Medwedeff and I embarked on a journey which is now finished. As of tomorrow our cookbook (in German) can be bought in stores and online.
Jahreszeitenküche - frisch vom Markt (engl. Seasonal Cuisine- fresh from the market) is about buying local, and when possible, organic produce and cooking and eating with a good conscience. The book is divided into the four seasons and the recipes use produce which correspond to the seasons. While there are recipes with meat and fish, most of them are vegetarian. In each season you will find soups and salads, main dishes and desserts. At the back of the book there are two calendars, one for vegetables and one for fruit and nuts, depicting when what is season. This calendar is a guide, mostly for Switzerland, Austria and Germany, and may have to be adjusted depending on where you live.
