Looking back at 2015

At the end of the year I like taking a moment to stop and look back at everything that happened and places we saw. At the same time, I start thinking about adventures for the coming year!

The most memorable trip was probably our visit to Tanzania to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro, go on safari and to relax on the island of Zanzibar.  It doesn't have to be Mt. Kilimanjaro, but I highly recommend to everyone to do something spectacular. Maybe it is that dream climb, maybe it's hiking the Camino de Santiago, maybe it's sailing around the Grand Canyon. Push yourselves and you'll be amazed at what you can achieve if you just put your mind to it.

Once back from Africa, there was a weekend trip to Ticino, followed by a trip to Denmark. The two couldn't have been more different.

Then came our week of hiking in the Austrian Alps. We had beautiful weather the entire time and a memorable thunderstorm at the end of one evening. Our stay in a castle made everything perfect.

My friend Alex and I like to go away for foodie weekends and this year we decided to visit Cheese in Bra, Italy.

Another highlight this year was our week-long hiking trek through the Engadin.

My sister and I went to Meersburg for a weekend get-away and fell in love with the quietness of that November weekend.

This summer was amazing at home and we spent many hours in the garden. As a result of the fabulous weather, we were able to harvest all of our own fruit and vegetables from June to October.

Wishing all a joyous and healthy 2016!
