Time to say hello

Hello and a few recipe links.

I really hate that I haven't had enough time to write a blog post. So this will be a short one with a few recipes I have made during the past weeks.

I've been visiting with family, gone to a wedding, been crazy busy at work, been designing a wedding invitation for my husband's cousin and his fiancée, been shooting and writing recipes for our cookbook and doing stuff I also usually do such as going to painting class and choir practice. Tell me I don't have a reason to be dead tired.

But that doesn't mean I don't cook. I do, as much as before I just don't get around to posting about the goodies. So this time I don't have pictures, but links to recipes I have been making. Please have a look at the pretty pictures on the sites and I promise to be back with my own soon.

This week I made Aran Goyoaga's of Canelle et Vanille Spring Pea and Potato Soup. Soup you ask? Well yes, it's been freezing. In fact it's a natural weather phenomenon which happens every year in June and is know here as the "Schafskälte". Anyways, I needed to have soup and since Aran's recipes never fail, hers was the one. Oh my, I'll be making it again. It's very good!

A few weeks ago I was inspired by Heide Swanson's 101 Cookbooks website and her recipe for Farro & Herbs. Using her citrus vinaigrette she used for another farro salad, I cooked some barley and added some chopped mozzarella to make a wonderful salad. Even my husband liked it, so that is a good sign. I'll also be making this again, maybe adding soft goat cheese and bell pepper instead of the mozzarella.

And now the sun is finally out and I'm enjoying it to the fullest. That means (finally) more summer recipes!
